“I’ve worked so hard over the past few years – I feel guilty when I take a break!” Have you ever felt like this? I hear it all the time from entrepreneurs who have been in business for a number of years.

I have felt that way, too.  Another interesting part of all of this is that, over a period of time when we are working so hard, we lose track of WHY we are even doing this.

I have had my head down and worked really hard to accomplish many things over the past 5 years. I am very proud of my achievements and my successes. It’s actually fairly easy for me to set goals and check them off, once completed. And I have become comfortable.

Now, when it comes to the emotional side of business – and particularly when it comes to the WHY of my business – I have come to the realization that I had lost my why (not my way……my why …..although I believe they are connected). This is not a good thing, in any way, shape or form. Losing my why means that the hard work is just that …….hard work. Day in and day out. Hard, hard work.

In a meeting recently with my business coach, we stopped and took the time to have the tough conversation. Why am I doing what I am doing? What are my BIG dreams? What is bringing joy to my life these days?

When is the last time you had this kind of conversation and/or reflection? Where are you feeling stuck and/or really comfortable in your business?

HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS WE DISCUSSED –

What is the BIG dream?

Why does it matter?

WHO matters?

What am I tolerating?

What needs to happen to get the motor running again?

What am I waiting for?

One of the reasons I love these VIP Planning sessions with my business coach is because it causes me to stop, think, reflect, plan and take action so that I AM living the life of my dreams, so that I DO NOT have regrets, so that I do NOT remain comfortable, so that my WHY is re-ignited.

This matters to me and to the people I serve.

ARE YOU CLEAR ON YOUR WHY?
