In the world of business, I often hear entrepreneurs say they don’t have time to take any vacation. I find those words to be deadly. It is critical for anyone and everyone to take a break from what you do on a daily basis. Steven Covey talks about sharpening the axe all the time!
This past week, I ran away for 10 days. I was tired. I needed a break. I wanted a break. I have a lot on my plate over the next few months and it is essential that I take care of myself first. I pre-planned exactly how I was going to handle that so that I could truly disconnect and just focus on life –and on me.
Because I write this newsletter weekly, I knew I had 2 choices – 1) pre-write the content and have it ready and scheduled to go; or 2) ask for help. I chose to ask for help – it’s a great lesson for entrepreneurs and business owners to learn. I reached out to my mastermind colleagues and asked if they would like to contribute some success tips that I would share with you, my community. And so they did.
Simple, right?
Met my objective, right?
Gives them exposure, right?
Provides solid content to you, right?
So, here you have it – in the words of 3 of my esteemed colleagues – what does it take to succeed in business these days and to get ahead of the pack?
Wake up earlier than everyone else you know to get things done that others can’t or won’t.
