Hey, have you ever felt like you were drowning in overwhelm as a result of launching, or up-levelling, your business?”  Wouldn’t it be great if someone just threw you a life line??

Well, actually, there really is such a thing! There is CPR for business development. While many of you have a real calling for the work you are doing – a clear vision and strong passion – many of you also have no idea just what to do next. You’re not only drowning in overwhelm, but your business is dying as a result.

  • You have no idea where to find new clients
  • Your bank account is lower than low
  • You stay stuck behind your computer (handling e-mail can really ‘make’ you feel like you’ve been busy all day
  • The telephone is not ringing – nor are you picking it up to make sales calls
  • You are uncertain of the kind of sales conversation to have
  • You have no idea where to begin the networking process

And it goes on and on and on.

I want to share my secret C.P.R. formula with you because I am passionate about helping women entrepreneurs succeed, and you know I like to keep it simple.

“C” stands for COACH!

You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again. My formula for success is very simple. I know because it has worked for me. I didn’t grow my revenue and my client base all by myself. I hired high level coaches to help me get out of that lone ranger situation. When you hire a coach who has ‘been there, done that’, you save yourself a lot of time, worry and money.

Now, I know for a fact, 2 things:

1)      Many of you don’t know where/how to hire a coach because this may be a new concept to you. Well, just ask some of the successful business people that you know – get referrals. Find someone in your industry who is growing and succeeding in business and get some names of reputable coaches. (and that coach had better be working with a coach, too!)

2)      Many of you have had bad experiences with coaches. Yes, every other person these days is hanging up a shingle: “Get Your Coaching Here!” Why would you work with someone who has NOT had any success growing their business? That’s what many of you have done – to pinch your pennies and save money. That’s not always the best way – you’ve got to invest in yourself and in your business and you know, as well as I do, that you get what you pay for. Find the best of the best to help you grow, make money and make a difference! Just do it, ok?

“P” stands for PLAN.

This is where most of you are really falling down. You simply do not have a plan. And many of you are overwhelmed (and rightfully so) by the thought of creating some 50-60 page ‘Business Plan’ that ends up on a shelf anyway – and then you go back into the ‘black hole” that I listed above – stuck behind your computer, feeling the ‘need’ to make sales calls, and more. You have got to have a plan and work the plan. When you hire the right coach, a plan can be as simple as a 2-page calendar outline of 2-3 things to focus on first (the right things – not necessarily the most urgent things!), get them done, make some progress and keep moving forward. That’s a plan!

Just imagine what it would be like to wake up each day and know exactly what you are going to do that day in order to reach your goals? Just imagine! It is possible – but you’ve got to get the coach first.

When you have a plan, you know where you are going and growing. You know who to work with, you know how to price and promote your products and services so you get paid what you’re worth (and become a wealthy women leader who makes a difference in the world – in YOUR world). You become a much more confident and competent entrepreneur and attract a high quality of clientele. Without a plan, you’re really going nowhere. Might as well get a job.

“R” stands for REVENUE and RESULTS!

Just imagine what it would be like, to be working side by side with an inspiring and successful business coach – working your plan – so that:

1)    You are clear on your message and your purpose

2)    You have a plan that is moving you towards your goals, both financially and emotionally

3)    You are working with ideal clients because you are now clear on just who those people are

4)    Your marketing materials are compelling and targeted

5)    You are generating more revenue than you ever imagined was possible

6)    You have an accountability buddy with whom you can share achievements and challenges – so you are no longer alone on the journey.

Just imagine!

This IS a simple formula and it is one that works. I believe that we, particularly as women entrepreneurs, overcomplicate things. Stop that. Keep it simple. Recognize where you are getting in your own way – and just follow the formula.

With this simple formula – of Coach, Plan and Results (CPR) – you will succeed at growing your business – and making a difference in the world.  You will no longer be drowning in feelings of overwhelm and intimidation. This is your simple life line and it is well within your reach. Will you grab it?

What decision will you make today that will simply lead you to success in your business?
