3 Reasons Why All Entrepreneurs Should Be Part of a Business Mastermind Group - #PM46

Pat:  Hey everybody. It’s Pat Mussieux and friends. There’s my friends, coming to you live from the Idlewyld Inn in London, Ontario. I’m going to zoom in on them in a minute.

We have just finished a two-and-a-half day business mastermind retreat, and what I always love to do at the end of the retreat is to just check in with people and find out why are you here? What’s your takeaway? Because I so appreciate their giving of their time, their energy, and the travel, and their participation and engagement with our group. I want you to hear from the horse’s mouth – these are great horses, great people – why they come to the mastermind and what they took away from it. I’m going to start over here. Where are you Peter? Where did you go?

Peter: Here I am.

Pat:  Peter, you drove up from where?

Peter:  We drove up from Cincinnati, Ohio, down in the States. It has been a long trip up, but we’re glad to hang out with Pat for a few days and learn from her. One of my biggest reasons that I come here is because I know that there are other business owners, like myself, that I can learn from their journey, where they’re coming from and where they’re going in their business, and I can learn how I can apply that to my own business, and Pat and Susan are the ones who are there to guide us  through making the correct decisions for our own business.

Pat:  Hey, that was a good tip, right? Thanks, Peter. Let’s go over to his partner, Colleen.

Colleen:  Hi, I’m Colleen from Cincinnati, Ohio, and besides the wonderful coaching we get from Pat and Susan, it is so great to be with like-minded entrepreneurs who have the same struggles, the same successes, and we all work together as a group, and share struggles, and you know that you’re in a safe place to practice your speeches, to practice and plan, and just communicate with each other and share things with people who are in the same place as you are.

Pat:  Thanks, Colleen. Actually, we just fail to understand why there’s not a whole room full of entrepreneurs in here because this really is the way to succeed. It’s the secret sauce to growing your business. There are two more people behind me. I’m going to move a little bit. Donna, you move on in between us there. Katy and Donna, let’s find out what you got from this mastermind retreat.

Donna:  Like Colleen, I find it very inspiring to be in a room full of people who are like-minded, and you get so many ideas from them. One of my takeaways was to find out your lifestyle, and you want to live and build your business to support that. It’s just a room full of ideas that helps you get to that decision, so it has been very helpful. Pat has been great, and Susan’s a great coach as well. It has been helpful.

Katy:  Hi I’m Katy. I live here in London, Ontario, and one of my favorite things about coming to the Mighty Mavericks retreats is, at the end of day two, Pat leads us through a 60-day plan to take everything that we have learned, all of our a-ha moments and takeaways, and put them into a 60-day plan to actually implement, and she holds your feet to the fire.

You do not leave until that several page document is filled out, so I always really appreciate that. My biggest takeaway this time around has been around relationships with other business owners, with people in your life, personally and professionally, and the fact that relationships need to be reciprocal, and so what are you taking from people that you’re not replenishing?

Pat:  Reciprocity. Thank you guys. While I talk and finish this up, I just want to give you a little bit of an introduction to this fabulous inn, where we are. It’s the Idlewyld, where I hold all of my events, in London. I’ll tag them as well, but just check out this beautiful inn. It’s a safe environment. It’s a comfortable environment. We take over the inn. We have a fabulous time. Seating areas, lovely conversation places, beautiful fireplace, where my team is standing there, the great fireplace. Great décor, and wonderful places for private lunches and dinners, right in here, as well as the other parlor, where a lot of business networking goes on, and so I’m just going to sum it up and wrap it up.

We talked about commitment and action, and the key to success is really taking action, but on a consistent basis. That’s where most of you fall down. So listen, there was an empty chair at the table. There’s room for more at the Mighty Mavericks. We’re coming back together here in April. For those of you who are interested in joining these amazing entrepreneurs, these ones right here, then click on the link below and send an email info@patmussieux.com and inquire about the Mighty Mavericks, and you too can be right here with us in April.
